Dutch Berry Bread

The history of Dutch baking is a long one, with roots that date back to the 14th century. The country’s bread and bakery industry has evolved significantly over time, but some traditional recipes remain popular today.

Custom Cakes & Pastries

There are a number of different types of Dutch bread and bakery, each with its own unique characteristics. Popular types include stroopwafel (a syrup waffle) and oliebollen (deep-fried dough balls).

Tasty & Healthy

The nutritional value of Dutch bread is not only good for your taste buds, but also for your health. The high fiber content in Dutch bread can help you feel fuller longer, which may help with weight loss.

What We Serve

The most common type of flour used in Dutch baking is whole grain flour (or ‘meel’). This means that all parts of the wheat grain are used in its production – including bran (the outer layer), endosperm (the middle part) and germ (the innermost part). This makes whole grains more nutritious than refined flours because they contain more vitamins and minerals as well as dietary fibre – all things our bodies need to stay healthy!

"The most common type of dutch bread is called broodje hagelslag (sandwich with sprinkles) and consists of two slices of white bread with butter or margarine spread on the inside, topped with chocolate sprinkles."
