A Cut Above the Rest
Now considered a landmark, our Dutch Berry Butcher Shop is family owned and has been here since 1826.
Apart from multiple generations of butchers refining the art, there are also several factors that contribute to the quality of meat, including the animal’s breed, diet, and age, as well as the way the meat is processed and prepared.
Our Dutch Berry breeds of the animals play a significant role in the quality of the meat. Some breeds are known for producing meat with more marbling, which is the fat that is interspersed throughout the muscle tissue. Marbling is desirable because it adds flavor, tenderness, and juiciness to the meat. Our Dutch Berry Farm is known for producing high-quality meat that includes Angus, Wagyu, and Hereford.

Straight From the Farm
We Believe in Quality
Farm-raised meat is often considered better than factory-raised meat for several reasons. Firstly, farm-raised animals are typically raised in open pastures and allowed to graze freely, which leads to healthier animals and better quality meat. Secondly, farm-raised meat is often free from antibiotics and growth hormones, which are commonly used in factory farming to promote growth and prevent disease. Finally, farm-raised meat is often more sustainable and environmentally friendly, as it promotes local agriculture and reduces the carbon footprint associated with transporting meat long distances.
